It is currently recommended that healthcare providers continue to actively recommend influenza vaccine for personal 6 months of age or older.
From the Communicable Disease Epidemiology & Immunization Section: Public Health of Seattle & King County – February 11th, 2011
Influenza continues to circulate in King County during week 5, but at levels lower than observed during past season peaks. In three of seven influenza seasons since 2002/3 (not including the 2009/10 H1N1 outbreak) influenza activity has beaked in March or later.
National data show the current trivalent vaccine is well-matched to circulating strains (Among isolates characterized by CDC for this season).
